Godius Eternal War – Terms of Service

Article 1 – Purpose

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between PlayinWorld Co., Ltd. (“Company”) and users (“User(s)”) regarding the use of the 2D pixel-art MMORPG Godius Eternal War (“Game”) and all related services (“Services”).

Article 2 – Definitions

“Services” refer to the Game client, official website, community services, patches, updates, and any related services provided by the Company.

“User” refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Services, whether registered or unregistered.

“Account” refers to a Steam account or game account created or linked for accessing the Services.

“Paid Content” refers to in-game items, currencies, features, or other digital content purchased for a fee.

“Virtual Goods” refer to digital items, currencies, or other in-game content used within the Services.

Article 3 – Effectiveness and Amendments of the Terms

The Company shall publish these Terms through the official website or the Steam Store page.

The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted under applicable laws.

Any amendments shall include the effective date and reasons for such changes.

If changes materially disadvantage Users, the Company shall provide at least thirty (30) days prior notice.

Continued use of the Services after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of such revisions.

Article 4 – Use of Services

Users shall use the Services in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms.

The Company shall make reasonable efforts to provide stable Services.

The Services are generally available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; however, temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

Scheduled maintenance shall, in principle, be announced in advance.

Article 5 – Account Management

Users may only use accounts registered under their own name or legally authorized credentials.

Users are solely responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of their account information.

Account sharing, selling, transferring, or renting is strictly prohibited.

The Company shall not be liable for damages resulting from the User’s negligence in managing their account.

Responsibility for Steam account security and management belongs to Valve Corporation and the User.

Article 6 – User Obligations

Users shall not engage in any of the following activities:

Article 7 – Restrictions on Service Use

If a violation of these Terms is confirmed, the Company may impose warnings, chat restrictions, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.

Enforcement measures shall be determined based on the severity, frequency, and intent of the violation.

The Company may take immediate action without prior notice when necessary to protect the Services or other Users.

Users may appeal enforcement actions through customer support.

Article 8 – Paid Content and Refunds

Purchases and refunds of Paid Content shall comply with applicable laws and Steam platform policies.

Refunds for purchases made through Steam shall primarily follow Steam’s Refund Policy.

Refunds for digital content that has already been used or consumed may be restricted under applicable laws.

If payment errors occur due to the Company’s fault, the Company shall provide refunds or appropriate restoration measures.

Virtual Goods are licensed, not sold, and do not constitute real-world property or assets.

Article 9 – Service Changes and Termination

The Company may modify the Services for operational, technical, or business purposes.

The Company may adjust game balance, content structure, systems, or gameplay features.

In the event of service termination, the Company shall provide at least thirty (30) days prior notice.

Policies regarding unused Paid Content upon termination shall be separately announced.

Article 10 – Privacy

The Company shall protect Users’ personal information in accordance with applicable laws and the Privacy Policy.

Article 11 – Intellectual Property

All copyrights and intellectual property rights related to the Services belong to the Company or legitimate rights holders.

Users may not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit any part of the Services without prior written consent from the Company.

Article 12 – Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Company shall not be liable for damages caused by the User’s own fault or negligence.

The Company may limit liability for damages caused by force majeure events, including natural disasters, server failures, or third-party service disruptions.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for damages arising from free Services.

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude liability where such exclusion is prohibited by applicable law, including cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by the Company.

Article 13 – Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

Any disputes arising from the use of the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.

Where mandatory consumer protection laws of a User’s country conflict with these Terms, such laws may take precedence to the extent required by applicable law.
